Press release: New CEO for tech company Digmi

Tech company Digmi is putting its foot down to revolutionise the hairdressing industry internationally. After three years of development and building a customer base across the Nordics, the Småland-based company is now looking for a new CEO.

Serial entrepreneur Tobias Lindberg founded Digmi at the start of the pandemic. The 52-year-old wanted to help hairdressers and their salons with administration, service and cost savings.

– “I was looking for a driven person who could lead the company through its start-up phase, and who could work in a structured way with and for the hairdressing industry to help them streamline and digitalise,” says Tobias, the company’s majority owner, adding: “I ran into Joel and we clicked straight away.”

In three years, the company has gained more than 150 customers across the Nordics and developed a unique SaaS service that’s making a real difference for the hairdressing industry.

Over the past six months, Digmi has been working on version 2.0 of its digital service. The company has developed it with and for its customers, earning standing ovations across the board.

Digmi is ready for large-scale internationalisation

The company is now ready for its next phase, with national and international customer acquisition as the focus. As a result, Digmi is looking for a successor to Joel Lagerkvist, who has successfully led Digmi for the past three years. They’re looking for someone who can scale things up while continuing to deliver the highest levels of customer loyalty and service.

– “Joel has been, and still is, fantastic for Digmi. He’s a co-owner and will remain involved with and committed to the company, which I’m grateful for. There’s nothing dramatic about us looking for a new CEO at this stage – we’ve been talking about this all along,” says Tobias, adding: “We’re looking for a committed, driven and passionate CEO with extensive experience of SaaS and tech, and with their heart in the right place.”

At its most recent funding round, the company was valued at SEK 75 million and counts well-known names among its co-owners.

– “Digmi is a fantastic company. We have brilliant colleagues and a unique, valuable service. I love our customers and I love making a difference for them,” says Joel with a twinkle in his eye, continuing: “Now that we’re facing the next phase, we need a different kind of leadership and expertise. It’s simply the right time, and I welcome our new CEO with great enthusiasm and joy.”
